Whatever it is that you have in your mind -

it is already possible for you.

You only need to find your own way to get there

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a thought-provoking discussion and creative reflection process that inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential.

Coaching is an art of asking deep questions to prompt you to look deeper within your mind and find some insightful answers, motivations, blockers and ways of overcoming them.

  • Coaching is about facilitating self-discovery, fostering personal growth, and supporting clients in implementing positive changes.

  • Coaching involves tailoring strategies and approaches to individual needs and circumstances.

  • Coaching emphasizes personal responsibility and encourages clients to take ownership of their actions, decisions, and the outcomes in their lives.

During the coaching sessions we can work through questions on career, fulfilment, purpose, achieving your goals, personal development, decision making etc.

The rules of coaching

  • During the coaching conversation coach helps to notice the facts - whether it is something client said, or any non-verbal and para-verbal expressions that might hint to provide some more valuable information.

  • Coach is not getting involved into client's emotions and not critisizing their situation, but rather helping to work through it to find the most viable way solution.

  • During the coaching process coach and client are moving together towards a mutual goal, relying on client's potential and combined responsibility.

  • Coach is giving the client the rights to make decisions independently without the pressure of external opinion.

When can coaching help?

Coaching will be useful in the following situations:

  • You feel demotivated or unsatisfied in your job and want to be more fulfilled (whatever that means to you?).

  • You feel like you are stuck in your role / company and don’t know what you want, where to go and how to start.

  • Lack of direction, clarity, motivation, and confidence, feeling stuck in need of making decisions and change.

  • Managing career change, moving from corporate to personal business or scaling your side hustle.

  • Dealing with change in your life – immigration and integration in a new country, going through redundancy etc.

  • Feeling of unused potential – you want you achieve more, find your bigger purpose, gain more fulfilment in your life, make an impact and enjoy your life in full.

Coaching requests I work with:

  • Unleash / uncover and develop your potential

  • Stay motivated and committed to achieve this goal in your mindful way

How I help as a coach:

  • Ask you deep (and sometimes challenging) questions and provide reflection opportunity.

  • Listen and observe to reflect back to you any important insights.

  • Inspire a fresh perspective, motivation to move forward, gain clarity and direction to overcome challenges.

  • Provide support and accountability to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.

  • Help you review your goals for career, personal development, and transformation.

  • Enable a structured and systematic approach to make positive changes in your live.

  • Ensure a safe and caring space for you to look deeper into yourself, undertsand your real goals and motivations and make important decisions without pressure or judgment.

What happens during the coaching session?

The structure and content of each coaching session can vary depending on your needs and progress, however I’d like to share some examples of what you shall expect from the session:

  • The session often begins with a brief introduction and a review of the client's goals and priorities. This may involve revisiting previous goals or setting new ones for the session. The key stage here is to explore the key motivations and needs to identify true goals. The first session would likely to include ‘goal exploration’ to dive deeper into the WHY before we focus on the HOW.

  • The coach and client may discuss progress made since the last session, reflecting on achievements, challenges, and any insights gained.

  • Clients may bring specific challenges or situations they are facing. The coach helps them explore these challenges, encouraging self-reflection and a deeper understanding of the issues.

  • Coaches assist clients in identifying patterns of behavior or limiting beliefs that may be hindering progress. This involves uncovering underlying assumptions and exploring alternative perspectives.

  • Based on the discussion, the client and coach work together to refine goals and develop actionable steps. This can include setting short-term and long-term objectives.

  • Client and coach work through some specific skills relevant to the client's goals. This could involve communication skills, time management, decision-making, or any other skill crucial to the client's success.

  • The coach offers feedback on the client's thoughts and actions, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Reflection is encouraged to enhance self-awareness.

  • Clients commit to specific actions between sessions, and the coach holds them accountable. This accountability helps maintain momentum and ensures progress towards goals.

  • Acknowledging and celebrating small wins and achievements is an important aspect of coaching. It reinforces positive behaviour and motivates clients to continue their efforts.

  • The session concludes with a summary of key takeaways, commitments, and the setting of specific tasks or goals for the time until the next session.

What coaching is NOT?

While coaching is wonderful tool in the right situation, I want to be open and honest in managing your expectations. There are a lot of misconceptions about what coaching is and how it works, so I would like to share some examples of what coaching can NOT help you with and what coaching is NOT.

Coaching is not:

  • Therapy or Counselling: Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or counselling. Coaching focuses on the present and future, helping clients set and achieve goals, rather than delving into deep emotional or psychological issues from the past.

  • Providing Specific Industry Expertise: While as a career consultant during my consulting sessions I can offer guidance, as a coach I take a much more ‘reflective’ role and help your with understanding your true needs, developing general career decisions with bigger focus on the client as a key decision maker. For specific detailed knowledge on job search, practical advice and professional opinion please book Career Consulting Sessions.

  • Offering Guaranteed Outcomes: Coaching is a collaborative process, and success depends on the client's commitment and effort. It does not guarantee specific outcomes but provides tools and support to work towards goals.

  • A Quick Fix or Magic Solution: Coaching is a process that requires time and effort. It's not a quick fix or a magic solution. Clients need to actively participate and be patient with the progress, being brave to accept some difficult parts of self-reflection and challenging solutions.

  • Making Decisions for the Client: As a coach I don’t make decisions for the client. Instead, I guide you through a process of self-discovery, empowering you to make informed decisions aligned with you values and goals.
